Banks to conduct monthly literacy camps on digital payments

The move to educate the public on UPI and USSD services comes in the wake of the note ban enforced last November which sought to create a less-cash economy.

The central bank has asked banks to organised special camps on a monthly basis from April 1 to educate the public about digital payments through the Unified Payments Interface and USSD code platforms.
